Owner of the house decided to turn an idle room into the multi-functional study. Prolate form of the room and two large windows provided a possibility to accentuate two zones. As there was not need in fully equipped work place (the customer works with a tablet and a smartphone, that’s why he used to get along without a desk), large comfortable sofa, coffee table and a shelving unit for storing the documents and considerable library owned by the family cosed in one of the zones.
In the second part of the room a TV set and a table football were placed. Thereby, at any time the study can turn into a playroom where the customer can spend time with friends watching football on TV or arranging improvised championships for a cup of table football.
When the customer built his house, he incorporated aquarium into the wall between the study-to-be and the neighboring room. That’s why we had to find a way to make it a natural element of interior. Thus, aquarium and hobbies of the household head as well as his readiness to audacious solutions and experiments inspired creation of companion cabin, where ceiling and a wall were executed as huge illuminators revealing enchanting underwater world.
The wall where the TV set is hung is covered by the wallpaper imitating bookshelves filled with ancient folios. Sconces with abat-jours in metal casing complete illusion of a room located in a luxurious submarine.
